Gene expression data — as well as cellular proliferation and immune markers — can be used to better classify metastatic melanoma tumors, a new study suggests.
Researchers from New York University, the University of California at Riverside, and the University of Minnesota assessed gene expression data, cell proliferation, and immune function in dozens of metastatic melanoma tumors in an effort to come up with more ways to refine the classification of these tumors. In so doing, they identified hundreds of genes linked to survival, including genes involved in immune system and cell division functions.

As for the traveling, we went to Virgina and North Carolina just for the runs (I know, sltlhigy mad), and I have friends in NYC. To keep things interesting, for the blog and for us, we generally like to choose runs in unusual places. Part of what I love about doing these events is that they've taken us to many parts of New England we never would have visited before. We have always been road-trip fans. You know Aussies, they love to travel! You're right though. It probably is worth a post!
