Learning Objectives
After attending this activity, participants will demonstrate the ability to:  

Evaluate the treatment options for the patient with congenital disease of the aorta, based on current research presented at this conference.
Design an appropriate plan of care for each patient with congenital diseases of the aorta, based on clinical presentation.
Describe the echocardiographic features of congenital diseases of the aorta.
Formulate an educational plan to enhance the skills and knowledge of the multi-disciplinary team in caring for patients with congenital diseases of the aorta.
Correctly identify cardiac anatomy and the cardiac morphology of congenital diseases of the aorta through examination of morphological specimens of human hearts with these lesions.
Define the ethical issues related to congenital diseases of the aorta and other rare cardiac lesions, especially in environments with limited resources.
Discuss the challenges of caring for adults with congenital diseases of the aorta.
Describe the clinical assessment, ICU management, and implications for education of the patient and family for patients with congenital diseases of the aorta.
Apply strategies to standardize practice and care across institutions to improve patient outcomes.
Describe strategies for collaborative multi-institutional research within a heart institute model.
Target Audience 

This conference is designed for cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiac sonographers, cardiac intensivists, cardiac anesthesiologists, perfusionists, PAs, ARNPs, and RNs, and cardiac program administrators.
