Researchers at the University of Minnesota Stem Cell Institute seek the treatments that will make a difference in quality of life for patients suffering from such diseases as Parkinson's, diabetes, heart disease, muscular dystrophy, and more.

In recognition of the seemingly unlimited potential of stem cells in the treatment of human and animal diseases, the University of Minnesota is making a significant capital investment of about $15 million in the Stem Cell Institute.
