Anti-inflammatories: Small Molecule Approaches
Hilton San Diego Resort

San Diego, California

The hunt for new small molecules that target inflammation is heating
up. Researchers are discovering that inflammation plays a central role
in a wide range of diseases, from rheumatoid arthritis to cancer and
Alzheimer’s. Current oral therapies such as Cox-2 inhibitors and
NSAIDs can have undesirable and significant side effects with frequent
use. The promising biologics on the horizon have the downside that
they are more costly than small molecule therapeutics and cannot be
taken orally. CHI’s inaugural Anti-inflammatories meeting is one of
the only conferences to focus on combating inflammation with small
