Angiogenesis and Tumor Microenvironment: Clinical Outcomes, Similarities and Discrepancies
Mackinac Island, MI

mm, mm
This symposium brings together basic science and clinical experts in the
field of angiogenesis. It will facilitate the exchange of ideas and
science involving basic biology and pathways of angiogenesis and new
anti-angiogenic agents that can be used for specific targeting of
   tumor blood vessels and stroma.

In addition, clinician scientists present the results of ongoing
   clinical trials involving anti-angiogenic therapy.

This symposium will facilitate the establishment of a Mayo Clinic
Angiogenesis Program. Furthermore, novel genetic and imaging methods
to assess tumor vasculature for monitoring the effectiveness of
angiogenic response in the pre-clinical and clinical trials will be

Overall, the symposium will assist in establishing strong
